My father-in-law passed away on active duty in 1970. He had a military funeral. My wife picked up one of the shells from the 21 gun salute. Eric Rasmussen at Little River Crafts cleaned up the shell and adapted it to the pen kit. I turned the top from a piece of cocobolo I bought from Mark Wood Guitars more than 10 years ago.
