Hi everybody,

I'm back in the penturners world after a few months without. I'm now retired and should have more time for turning. I like to show you this pen I made for my son-in-law who's actually based in Kaboul with the belgian army. I made a special thanks to Don Ward for his tutorial that gives me the idea for this pen.

The wood is Wenge and the penkit is a Designer " gun metal ". The cartrigde was allready fired, so i had to use the original nib from the kit. Next time i will try with the bullet as nib.

I hope you like it, any suggestions are welcome,

greetings from belgium,

clem

I have to say, I think that asthetically, this is the best idea for using a cartridge. I really like the way you segmented the two. Absolutely awesome. You should try some of those nickle plated cartridges, although the wenge looks awesome with the polished brass.

I do'nt have a collet chuck, so i cut it with a pipe cutter. It's not the best way, takes a lot of time and need trimming the inside, but it works [:)]
