Caribou and Moose Antlers from Alaska!

Here are some pens I made when I got back from my vacation to Alaska. I used a CA finish on all of them which turned out nicely. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was hardly any marrow in the antlers which (in my mind) makes a better pen.



These are the moose antler pens.


This one is the caribou.

Very nice. How did you come across the antlers? When I was there I ran across a kinfe maker and was able to but a 4 inch piece of moose antler.

My aunt who lives there saw my deer antler pens and generously gave me the moose and caribou antlers for pens and knife handles.

Yes, I do have two younger brothers and two younger sisters that turn pens so I'll let them know.
