I saw a couple of similar pens like these on here and was telling my son about them. He smokes a cigar on occasion but no cigs. He liked the idea and asked me to make three, one for himself and a couple for some friends. These are two of the three.

Stats:
Wood = Walnut (the ash is natural buckeye burl)
Hardware = It uses the nib and modified center from a Churchill kit
Finish = The "unlit" one is only waxed. The "lit" one has only a couple coats of CA then wax. I am experimenting with the finish to get a "cigar" look.
Size = 3/4" x 5.5" Large "Stogy" size.

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Stunning. Really nice pens.
My father is a big Cohiba fan. He would love the lit one. But I'd it comfortable to actually write with it, given the big step?

Hey, you did really good with those! Glad to see a few more on here. I'm currently working on another idea so that there isn't such a big change in diameter from pen body to nib. Those are classy. I've been trying to find some nice gray buckeye for ash. Happy turning!
