I had wanted to wait for a Baron kit I have on order to turn this Camphor burl. The blank was an extra goodie packed in the box I recieved from Bruce when I got my mother board blank. It smelled so good I just couldn't wait. I'm kinda partial to the euro so away I went. My wife walked in whilst I was turning and said it smelled like campophenique. I wonder if the medicne comes from this wood somehow? Got carried away, anyway, this pen is dressed in a blk ti Euro sanded from 400 to 12k mm then I used ca/blo and wet sanded to 12k mm. The only way to smell it now is to pull it apart.

Ah the sweet smell of camphor. At first it does smell very nice BUT work with it for a week and will make you sick I can't work with it too long now it burns my eyes and everything. They extract them med. from the berry of the camphor. My wife says it smells like Noziema. There's a pretty lot of Camphor around here.

Nice job on the pen :good:
