This is a piece of lutice called calico I got awhile back. Very translucent, definately needs to be painted. I like this blank but it is the second one I have done and still have'nt gotten a perfect pen yet :mad: It is colored chips in clear lucite. This time it seems the paint crackled on me. Left paint dry for 2 or 3 days and epoxy glued tube in.

Now that will be hard to fix .
I like reverse painting the blanks but I think I am going to go a step farther with mine and use a light coat of spray paint on the tubes from now on to give a little more insurance to avoid this failure from showing through.
I wonder if it would help to run a small brush through the blank before painting to insure all the dust is removed before painting.
