busy weekend

After going to the Indianapolis chapter meeting yesterday it was time to get busy making a few pens. Whipped out a few seirra pens, and my first majestic jr. and my first apollo. Finally figured out reverse painting with acrylic. The two slimline pens are my neices first pens. She went to the meeting and wanted to give it a try and here is what she got.

Thanks Keith. The majestic and the apollo are amboyna burl. I'm really proud of my neice not only did she do a good job but she did'nt want any help at all. she cut ,drilled, glued and polished. she even did the reverse painting on the acrylic. not bad at all for her first try.

Great bunch of Pens Keith, Let your niece know I think she did a great job! And I really like the Apollo and Majestic, a couple of my favorite models.

ps: I probably got you guys in some of the photos I took at the meeting also, did you get a change to take a look at them?

Thanks John. I've only been turning since Feburary and finally about 2 weeks ago i figured out the right way (or al least the right way for me) to get a good ca finish. The ca demo at the meeting helped out alot also.
