Burl and Swirl Statesman

This is only my 2nd statesman so far. The blank is a buckeye burl /acrylic blank from Ankrom Exotics....Possibly the nicest blank of the batch I bought. I got very lucky when I pressed the parts together because I forgot to align the blanks but it worked out perfect!!!

I am really happy with this one and I love the feel of the full size gents/statesmans as well as the look of rhodium plating... Gonna be hard to part with this one. I may keep it as my own personal pen. It certainly should get people's attention when I use it.

I bought a blank just like that and I have to agree it's a beautiful combination of wood/acrylic. Mine is on a Sierra Elegant, probably not as nice as yours which is beautiful. But I know mine is a favorite for me. I think I still have another blank like this. I will have use it on one of the Rhodium Gent 1's I just got in. Should look real nice.
