Here are a few Trimlines. I was practicing a few different things and did learn that I'll have to figure something else out to make center bands.

The cocobolo differences are pretty stark.

It's hard sometimes to get the colors right when segmenting. Especially when one wood will darken so much more than the other when finished. Experience is a good teacher. You can also use your resin blank cutoffs to make some interesting centerbands. And it's hard to go wrong with black.

It's not so much the color as getting the ends trued and the center band to match. I have to work on that's bit.

I finished them with mylands sanding sealer and friction polish. The Purple Heart got a coat of BLO to try and make the little bit of grain stand out. It didn't work.

So far not one cocobolo has been even similar.

I do like the Trimlines. Just like the Toni Twist I think.
