Bumblebee Pen

My wife calls this the "Bumblebee Pen". A Robusto made from yellowheart and ebony. I first cut small trapezoids on the bandsaw using a fine blade, and then glue them together in an alternating pattern. I let each group dry, sand them on a belt sander, and glue them together with a piece of black veneer between each layer.

I have also made this pen with pink ivory and ebony, but my wife can't think of a name for it!
