Pretty cool. I'd turn off a little more to make a smooth transition from shell to barrel. Normaly you can find a bushing in your kits that are similar to the end of the shells.

My cases were not drilled in the center on some of these,
so I left the top blank a little prowd so that you can not see that the case out of round

I reground my drill bit to more of a point
it hits the flash hole to keep it straight

In the past, I've mounted the case on the lathe and turned it with the top blank. I took just enough brass off the rim to make it concentric. Sanding removed the tool marks.

Leaving the top blank proud as you did works well too, espeically if you can incorporate it into the design.

Yeah, I've done that before too. It's not noticeable if you polish the whole casing as well as throw a little BrassO on it.

You may also want to start using a smaller drill bit for a pilot hole. I've been doing this and it's helped a little.
