We had a gun show in Peoria last weekend. Took a caliper and went shopping. Picked up some Winchester 270 brass, added the antler top and I'm pretty pleased. The 7mm tubes slide right in the casing. I used a nib from a slimline and milled the casing back to the diameter of the nib. Drilled out the primer hole with a 9/32 drill and epoxied in the tube. It's off to the gun shops tomorrow to see what they think.

Very nice pen Rich, realy like the cut on the cap.

I don't know who's going to show up here first.... the NRA or BATF [8D]

Nice looking pen Rich!
Could you post another picture with a different backdrop?
Possibly a frontal view or is it scanned?

Here's a couple more scans Eaglesc. Closed the lid of the scanner to get a white background, and then a closeup of the Winchester 270 shell casing.

Love it!
Nice picture better detail.
My only concern would be the lower part of the upper pen barrel(the"bead") might be prone to chipping.
That's why I use the band of the cap as a CB.
I feel it gives that edge a little more protection.
Takes a lot more time though
