Ok decided to cut a blank out of the piece of Bubinga I aquired :)

I am still working on getting a good BLO/CA finish, it starts out looking great and glossy, with depth then turns cloudy :( but here it is...

Oh and I thought turning acrylic was nice with really sharp tools..... MAN this was like turning cake...

As Russ Fairfield says "Finish the finish"

Try sanding the finish with 4000 through 12000 grit. Buffing is nice too.

Actually I like the way it is. I have a pen with no finish on it. It is olive wood burl and looks just fine.
