My first attempt at this component set, I like it, but it's not my favorite. Seamus gave me this piece of buckeye burl a while back (Thanks, Seamus!) and it just happened to have a couple of good fill spots for some crushed malachite.

Comments/Critiques welcome (just not on the bad positioning of the lights for the photo:redface:)

Nice looking pen. I like the look of these sets but don't like to write for any length of time. More of a signature pen only for me.

The colors looks really nice in the wood...

That's lovely. I made one, and didn't quite get the arced line right, top to bottom. Yours is wonderful. They are very heavy to write with, though, aren't they?

I didn't really find it too heavy, but the weight is definitely not distributed right for me.
