Banded Bubinga (say THAT 3 times fast!) ... the bands are maple and ironwood... cause that's what I had hanging around :D

I had some problems with this... and that is gonna be posted over in Finishing forum...

I kinda like this idea... not sure at all about the combinations but it seems like something that would turn an ordinary pen into something a little special anyhoo....

Methinks you need a different (or, another) pen holder.
Something that's color-neutral compared to the pen.
I like the pen, but had to work to mentally filter that stand.
That's just me.

Mikey,
I know there's a [:D] in yer post there,
Dual 21" Flat panel monitors; I'd have to move half the web-page out of position.
Plus there's the angle to deal with. I did use the sheet of paper method and
that worked ok.

Marc,

Great looking pen! Some color cominations just go together like butter and toast! I like the color combo you have in this one! Nice. It says Buy me, Buy me!

I've just figured it out!!!! You guys don't REALLY get such cool finishes on wood pens,
You just dip them cooking oil just before you take the picture. The comments on the stand is just Yankee code for ' Don't show the Limeys the drip rack'[}:)]
Cool pen and photo anyway
