Starting to get some strange looks from SWMBO on some the the trips i'm making (craft stores, for metals and polymer clay) I haven't tried the clay, but here is the first with Brass.
Had a rough time making the blank. Would get it together (clamping a whole new concept for me, with something this small, 36" clamps a little big for this)
Then the CA glue... sanded the brass, then applied, well it held, but then I needed to sand the excess brass off to get it in the vise for drilling... The sander worked great, but the heat unglued the blank... Back to the craft store for Gorilla glue... Works much better this time....
Anyways, enough of this running on, here's the result... Was a bit nervous turning it, fearing the joints would give, or catch an edge, Wenge, not the best first choice... but here's the results.
