Charlie & Tony, I cast stainless steel braided sleeves (from Electriduct ) in PR resin. About the same process as Carbon Fiber Sleeves.

Dave, the bases are made from left over resin from casting. I put a layer of watch parts too large to bend into pens into a plastic cup and pour in what ever resin is left over and repeat ...
