I anchored on black painted tubes, cast in PR, turned, sanded with 400 grit only, buffed with extra fine steel wool and polished with Huts Ultra Gloss. Dressed up on Gun Metal and Black Enamel.

Super! I picked up some copper sleeping but haven't used any yet. Hope I get similar results as you.

...nice Les. Was it difficult trimming and squaring the ends? I would think it would be tough to trim as it is a "wire", even though you certainly CA'd em' to the tube? Be well.....Jan

Braid and bullets are just about as good as it gets(maybe carbon fiber shafts might could be a little better but)!!!

What other color combo 'sleeves' did you get?

They look great! Copper braid would look great on the gun metal pen too!

What did you use to anchor the braid to the tube? CA, Epoxy?
