Box elder and Statesmen pen

Hi,

I have been on a turning binge lately, 28 pens in the last 5 days. This is a 22 K Statesmen pen with a beautiful box elder burl, dyed blue and gold. The pen looks wonderful with this type of wood.

Ken, I'm in the Air Force now, stationed at Vance AFB. Just left the Army last year after 11 years.

I was just curious. I worked with a Fred Ritter back when I was in the U.S.A.F. - but that was a long time ago = would have been around 1980 at a place called Zweibrucken, W. Germany. (Back before the wall fell)

You can't go wrong with box elder burl. Not many woods out there more attractive. Even better is spalted box elder burl.
