These pens are for a family that had sold the house the kid grew up in and the grandkids visited. The pens came from a tree that came down years ago (10+). Out of the 4 large blocks I had to work with this is all I could get of it. The rest was full of checks and cracks.

The pens are for each of the grandkids as a gift from the homestead.

Glad it is done.

Beautiful Pens and Grand Gifts Percy
That Box Elder has a Fantastic colour, and your Fit and Finish sets it off.
Congratulations, and I bet the Grand Children are tickled pink with the Pens that Grand Dad made.
Brian.

Thanks Mike. Yes a bit of curl was present. Was just happy to get enough wood to turn.

FYI I ready enjoy your work and trying the figure out the scallops. Maybe I post my attempts.

Beautiful pens, you did justice to the gorgeous box elder with great sentimental value for the family. I'm sure the kids will treasure them. Great job!
