Been awhile since I've shared anything. This is a piece of Box Elder, cut from a place where there was a mess of branches coming together.

During turning a fairly large chunk gave way and shattered all over the floor. I was about to take it all down to the brass and start over, when I remembered I had bought some inlay material awhile back. I think it turned out pretty cool. :cool:

That blowout happened in the perfect spot to do an inlay. Between two other features of different color and texture, and the color on the inlay pops and stand on its own as a solid feature too. Good save, great finished product.
