You never know what will be inside"

This is Tiger Narra that Dawn bought. The outside of the blanks had been waxed, but not very "pretty looking".

Looked to me like the wood was nice, so I cut one to see,
whatdayathink???

I purchased some that was called "Bee's Wing Narra" that looks alot like that. I'm actually working on two pens in the shop currently using it.

Smells good when turning too doesn't it!

Although I never pretended to be visually acute, I CAN see the detail in the centerband on my 22" flat screen. What makes the picture "not good"?? I'll try to improve, if I know what you are seeing.

Ed,

When I look at the photo closely, the lower half seems to be slightly out of focus. It may just be the shadow caused by the placement of the light sources, but the top half of the pen does look better.

Of course, this post may be inspired by envy!

Thanks Cav!!

As you all know, my vision is NOT great. So, I look at the centerband when taking the photos.
If it looks clear and detailed, I figure the photo is good. Depth of field is, in the immortal words
of the president, "Beyond my pay grade!"

So if it looks fuzzy to you, please feel free to say so. In the future I will attempt to change the angle so it is equidistant from my lens. Thanks!!!
