Funny you should mention how easy it is to work. I was roughing it out and knew I would have time to finish it (this was a few nights ago) and pushed just a little too hard at the wrong moment and took out a little chunk right down to the tube. I swore, packed the hole with CA and sawdust, and went inside with a bad temper. The next day I finished it off and found that the hole would fit under the clip.
Moral: You can fix up and hide anything, but it's better to take your time
