Eagle wanted to see an image taken with a camera of the Dyed Blue Maple Baron.

Here it is, along with a picture of a BOW Cigar I finished this morning. This is the first pen I have ever used MM on. Seems to work pretty good.

Finish is five coats of Super Glue brand CA.

Holy hindu cow! Doesnt even look like the same pen. I'd highly suggest shooting them from now on.

Also, bring that to Bubbas, I'd like to see it in person.

If you just started using MM, try using it wet. I've had problems with streaking in the past, wetting it helped a lot. Just make sure the CA is dryyyyyyyyyyyyy.

When wet sanding, the best thing to do is keep a constant supply of clean water going to the paper. This can be done on the lathe with a spray bottle of some type. Also add a few drops of dishwashing detergent to the bottle when full.

And now, the blue dyed maple, that pen rocks!! What did you use to dye it??????

Thanks, all. I really appreciate the positive comments.

It was dyed and stabilized when I got it, but I didn't buy it. I placed an order with AS recently, and the blank was included as a bonus.

I looked on the AZ webb site a few days ago, and it shows out of stock for this item.

What a neat looking pen! That is some very pretty wood and the finish looks like a mirror. Well done!
