Platinum Baron in Bethlehem Olivewood.

I thoroughly enjoyed turning this pen.

I think that is one of the nicest wood pens I have seen in a while! You really nailed the shape on the closed end! Excellent!

thanks for all the great comments. The "photography" is actually my new HP Scanner![:D]

Since my basement was flooded on Oct, I haven't been able to do any real photgraphic work. I was surprised at how well the scanner did. Who need a light tent??

Any way, I agree that this is the best looking CE I've done to date. I think I was inspired by the wood.

Again, Thanks for the confidence boost.

To make the pen I used the pin chusk from Fangar. I also got my inspiration for the shape from Fangar as well.

I have found that, the slighlty larger diameter near the nib helps to cradle the pen in the web of the hand. I've played with a lot of shapes using scrap wood to come up with this one.
