A Taylors Mirfield Platinum plated Zeta ballpoint with Bog Oak. The wood on this pen is so dark that its difficult to capture the grain properly in a photo.
I found the wood was quite hard to turn and the gouge and skew chisels both needed a sharpen halfway though. But the wood polishes beautifully and has a very subtle grain that catches the light.
Made from Bog Oak from the East Anglian fens in the UK. This has been carbon dated to around 3300BC - so around 5300 years old.
