Looks good. The platinum slim is one of my favorite kits. Simple, relatively cheap, but nice enough to sport good quality blanks.

nice looking pen there steve, is it English or Irish bog oak. I've been looking into irish boglands and the boglands in the midlands are the oldest bogs in Ireland.

Many thanks for all the wonderful remarks, the wood is Irish Bog oak and is reported to be 4000 years old. It turned beautifully, and i finished it with, Sanding sealer, 6 coats of CA/BLO, friction polish, carnuba wax and Ren wax just to make sure, i am now going to make his wife one too.
The kit is a Platinum Comfort without the rubber.

Nice!

Great looking pen and blank!!
Slim profile and good looks give it an elegant apperance.
If you cant find a use for the rest of that bog oak, you can send a few pieces my way.:wink:
