I joined up recently and have been so buried in all the great information that I haven't made a post until now.

I wanted to post this pen since it's a product of all the help I've gotten here. It's from a Bocote blank with a Biscayne kit, both from AS. It's finished with thin, odorless CA since one of the things I've learned is regular CA is too hard on me. I polished it with One Step and applied a coat of Renwax.

Thanks again to all the great contributors here. Maybe I could have learned some of this stuff on my own but it would have taken a lot of time and frustration.

First off David I see this is your first post so welcome to the site where all things go round and round. Job well done on all accounts.

You have learned well Luke.. Now go fight the evils of pen making and may the force be with you!!!!

Thanks to everyone.

In answer to the CA question, I used 4 coats. A few more coats wouldn't have hurt. It was nice and smooth after the fourth coat, so I decided to call it good and not push my luck.
