Here is a pen I made a couple of weeks ago, but finally was able to get it posted on the site. It is a Bocote Rhodium Gent rollerball with a Bocote finial bezel. CA/BLO finish. Comments welcomed, thanks for looking.

Strong looking pen. Nice job on the finial. I think a custom centerband would have made it even better.

That looks great Joe. The bocote has some wild grain.

When you did the finial did you use face grain for the show side of the finial?

I ask because when I did a custom finial I used end grain for the show side and it accepted the finish noticeably differently to the main body of the pen.

Keith, I did use face grain for the finial. Your'e right about the finish difference when using end grain.
