This pen was inspired by Eaglesc. It is bluejean material and lots of Ca glue. It is a modified SL. Should I add a centerband?

ATTA BOY!
Looks more like the Fibermascus than mine, great!
You must have used newer jeans.
Do you really think it takes that much glue?
Would it be possible to post a larger(different picture)?
Did you wrap strips or use a large section of fabric and roll it "jelly-roll style"

I didn't use very new jeans, they some how got battery acid on both sides in the back and had a few holes in them. I used a lot of glue because I soaked the strips as I wraped them. I used strips about 1/2" wide. I also had a few blow outs. I'm going to post another picture later in my album.
Thanks for all the nice comments.

Tom,
Can I be a real pain and ask to see the seam where the material meets? I'm thinking of doing a pen in stingray leather, but I haven't quite figured out how to get a good seam. I'd like to see how the denim came out, since it is likely a little thinner than my leather.

Thanks!

both smoky and I wrapped the material "barber pole fasion"
If you can't see the seam then wwe both did a good job.(we did,if I must say so myself)
Don't look hard but just "look" and you will see a spiral up the blank.
What you are wanting to do strikes me as more of a snakeskin question.
the key to a good seam is straight edges.

Thanks Eagle, now I see the spiral. Neat idea! Yes, what I'm trying to do is probably more akin to snakeskin. I may post a separate request for info as I get a little braver, and after I buy some different viscosity CA's. All I have at home now is some thick stuff, and some dollar-store Super Glue.
