This pen is made from a very special piece of Buckeye Burl. It took the dye very nicely and has some awesome figuring. I hope you like it. This was a non finalist pen that I made for the Bash

I think the color and wood are an excellent combination with beautiful results. What kind of dye did you use ? Was the blank stabilized ?

I used the same dye that is used for Alumilite and yes it is stabilized with Cactus Juice. It started out as a beautiful piece of blond buckeye burl. I just love working that wood, it is happy to take dye and stabilization.
