Did up this Platinum Navigator roller ball in blue acrylic for a co-worker returning from an illness. This was my first Navigator and my first time doing a custom cap ring. Thanks to Bob Dupras A.K.A "BSea" for his pdf in the Library. Next time I want to try doing the finial too.
Not the best photo but it was late last night and I was in a hurry. :redface:

I think that's the 1st ring I've seen since I wrote that article. Plus that reminds me, I promised to do one for a friend.

Now that you know how to do the ring, try a wooden one. HINT: Practice before you try it with anything expensive. I think it took me 3 tries before I got wooden one. :rolleyes: CA helps to stabilize it. In fact it might be best to use stabilized wood.

Thanks Bob. I plan on trying it with wood soon. I've got a Cactus Juice kit from Turntex so I've got some stabilized material I can try.
