Blue and Gold Segmented

I've wanted to do a segmented blank of the Navy Colors of blue and gold. I had the gold blank I just need to find the right blue, I found the blank I needed at Woodcraft yesterday. I'm happy with the way it came out. The kit is a Woodcraft chrome Navigator. I did not paint the tubes nor back paint the blank. I used epoxy for the glue up and let it set up 6 hours. I wet to 12000 mm and polished with Hut plastic polish. All C & C welcome

Very nice job Dan - Great fit and finish. Having served in the USMC, I'm not sure about the colors!

Some of you may be wondering what I meant when I said side to side and end to end so here are two pictures to show what I was talking about. The first picture is of the blank piece mounted side to side and the second is the blank mounted end to end.

Thanks a lot Eric, two thing's I can tell you about making a custom finial....check out the IAP library on finial's and practice-practice-practice before you make on for a pen.
