Never seen Dyed Blue Maple before. Tried it to find out what it looked like after finishing. I like it, but 95 % of the stuff I like, no one else does.

This is stabilized wood, and after I polished it, I applied a few coats of CA.

Like the wood alright, think your finishing is lacking a little shine.

I got a piece of it from AS with my last order. It looks nothing like yours, still really neat though. It was a throw-in along with the order. I'll post it soon.

Scanned a photo? We have to get you up to par with current technology! Are you using a film camera, processing the photos, then scanning them?

I didn't know Alcoholics Anonymous sold pen blanks [:D]
There are some colors that I haven't been able to "nail down" when dyeing.Maple and blue is one.
I get better results with a magic marker.
The few I have purchased that stabilized and dyed turned me off from buying that type of blank.
One the pen is turned and finished there is not difference in the appearance. For those results I cna buy a lot of magic markers or dye my own blanks in my stabilizing set-up.

Knowing what a scanner can do the appearance of a pen I'd like to see a photo of this one.
In my mind the satin components would look very well in a blue blank.
