I was going to say the same thing. Considering the idea of the bubbles if for them to pop (no pun intended) go with something that really sets it apart from the wood.

I like it, but sort of agree with Eagle. The "sort of" part is because I think the photo is too dark and it might look a lot brighter in person.

I used dowels drilled at random angles to get that effect. Cherry and walnut. I am looking for other collors now.

Pretty cool! I've tried drilling some dowels into the blanks, but never had anything come out nearly as nice.
