BlkGld Sierra with leather

Although a pain to get down to finish level, quite an object to behold. I put about 15 coats of thin CA so as to preserve the ripple of wrapped leather on surface! Thoughts and opinions?

PS Forgive the dust specs I didn't blast it with compressed air before taking pic!

It's always tough to judge in a photo. I haven't made a leather pen before, but it just seems wrong to me that it would be encased in plastic. Why not feel the soft warm leather and let it get naturally worn and colored by the oil in your hands?
