That's a really neat pen! It seems really upbeat and active, but not too busy, if that makes sense. I do have a question- what did you do at the centerband? Am I imagining it or does it look like to me that the whole centerband part is also the laminate?

You are correct. The top section is a larger diameter. I have two small cut lines made with my parting tool turned at 90 degrees to give a crisp V-cut. Then I just did a sharp 45 degree andgle to meet the lower tube. It gives a little of the european pen style look but also bypasses the touch of eccentricity that some of my pens have had when I do a custom, flush CB and end up having problems.
