They look good for what I can see. Get rid of the big piece of wood it's distracting your pens.

I have close up pictures of each pen / pencil in the members photo albums ...I just wanted to show my customers where their instruments came from. They liked this picture very much ...as one of them actually cut this tree down from his back yard and sawed / planed the wood 10 years ago. He gave me 8 feet of this Black Walnut to make pens out of and the wood looks very good.

Nice pens, but walnut like that makes some nice bowls and platters.

You'll get a LOT of blanks and some really great pens out of an 8' stick! BTDT...got a 8' 6" 27"diameter BlackWalnut log laying next to the mill right now. Too bad its been raining so much I don't feel like trimming it up....
Don't forget to make some crosscut blanks too!
