As this week is my 3rd IAP Birthday, I thought I'd have a cigar to celebrate:biggrin:

EDIT; changed the nib to gold too.
Edit 2; Just put the chrome nib back and swapped the clip.

I can't decide which I prefer:confused: What say Ye?

Looks good Skip! I have a hard time with the clip and nib being different (ocd and all), so I change one out from the opposing kit to give a gold gold or a silver silver.

You deserve more than a 24k gold cigar on your IAP birthday, you are worth at least gold titanium! Great fit and finish though my friend.

LOL, you can't be OCD because I agree with you:wink: Fortunately the nibs screw off and I had another one. I'll add the new pic to the first post.
Thanks for the idea:biggrin:

Thanks for all the comments:biggrin:

It seems that we are all agreed that the last pic is the best match of parts.
Chrome-Gold-Chrome or at least with the nib and clip the same flavour.
I browsed through some old threads and noticed that many of us think that way too. Perhaps someone with clout can get the suppiers to change the kits.
That way we won't have to buy two kits at a time.

Cheers......off to work now:mad:

...... Happy 21st Birthday Skippy.

:biggrin: LOL Peter, you have just gone to the top of my best buddy list:biggrin: but I'm a lot closer to my allotted '3 score & 10' than I am to 21:rolleyes:

( It's not my real birthday, just my 3rd enjoyable year here on IAP)

I'll expect big presents on my proper birthday though and will give loads of warning:biggrin:

Well made pen!
When I first saw the ULTRA CIGAR I immediately thought, it's a beautiful pen
with a liitle fault. IMO tip and clip should have the same colour. I did my first
pair of UCs this way and everybody prefered them to the original
colourscheme. Would be nice if the manufacturer would deliver them with
matching tip and clip.

Very well done and the black does make the kit look classy. I would think just about any solid color would be great with that kit. Has anyone done any with all the same colored components??? Can you take all the parts apart and match them up if you do get 2 kits??? Thanks for showing. I do need to get a couple of those kits.

You almost can. But the finial has an inlay at the top which is in the opposite
colour. But the alternating colours are really what attracts me to these kits.
Except for the tip/clip issue, that is.
