First off I would like to say this is not my work I am merely doing photo's of the pen so all credits should go to Toni for this, even the photography.

Second yes there is a CA finish on the assembled pens and YES it is shiny and YES it is reflective. While a reflective finish is super easy to work around the metal trim is not

Third I have to say Toni gained a new fan member tonight, her name is faded!

She really liked the pen as seen above :)

Here we have it next to a Blue Dragon scale pen, also by Toni.

The amazing part about this one project is I cant decide which complementary colors to use with it. So that means my work is not done yet.

I am probably going to burn in hell for this part but all I can say is 'Bring the pain!' as it is always a big pleasure to work with Toni's artwork. These are black rose slimline tubes!

In the limited time that I have access to these I wanted to pull out all the stops so I decided on this shoot to break out:
  • Black mother of Pearl (yes the real deal and very $$ to boot)
  • Stabilized, Dyed, Waterbuck shin bone
  • Gyrocarpus americanus burl
  • hand carved floral box
  • Juniperus virginiana (eastern red cedar) bowl blank
  • Stabilized, Dyed camel bone
  • hand made floral kashira
  • Free roaming Mammuthus primigenius Ivory (wooly mammoth) (I can even post the schreger lines if anyone has any problems with it)
  • Koa pen blank

Soon I will have some super nice blooms to go with these works of art and that should be quite stunning. If anyone can see or wants to see some other matching or angles then please feel free to let me know.

Some of these shots I am not 100% happy with as I am finding faults with many of them and will likely do several re-shoots to get things perfect.

I took the damascus and ran with it, broke out various damascus billets that I have and this is the results.

The pure epic beauty of this combo is this type of damascus steel is made in a similar way that cane's are made, except it is steel. The billets are in the rough shape as they are not 'final fit' ready but for our purpose they will suffice I think.

This is several billets at once, I wanted to see how the 'look' would go and to be honest I kind of liked the group shot.

here we have the US Flag damascus bolster billet

Basket weave damascus, this will be come a knife. In fact I have already cut one bar of this into a knife blade and bolsters for a folding knife.

This is star and stripes billet. This could become a knife blade, also a hilt, bolsters, guard or even scales for that matter.

This is a damascus paring knife that I made years ago, it is currently in use in the kitchen and needs to be cleaned up some.

This is a snakewood sykes fairbairn commando dagger that I made from tight twist damascus, even the bolster and pommel is from the same billet. On the Right is an amboyna burl Japanese tanto that I made from tight twist damascus, the pin is a mosaic pin and it to is made using similar methods as the canes are made.
