Made this one for my wife several weeks ago. She loves it but has no idea what a pain it was to turn. I don't have carbide tools so I was sharpening Oh So often. Took a while to turn but it is nice. She loves the gun metal finish & gold embossing with this black & gold Tru-stone matrix.

Very nice looking. The TruStones are difficult to turn without carbide tools, but check out Capt'n Eddie Castelin on YouTube. He shows how to make your own carbide tipped tool cheaply and with only a few simple tools you probably already have.

I feel your pain. I also did my wife a pen using this blank. Fortunately she hasn't asked for a pencil to match.

Great looking pen. I do like the black pens, but what a pain. And the tru-stone just makes it that much more difficult.

I've made a Broadwell Art Deco pen with that blank. I remember it wasn't too difficult with a carbide bit. But it was extraordinarily messy! The chips were a lot like laser printer toner, I had black statically charged dust everywhere.
