Black and Chrome

I gave my new department manager the choice of one of my pens. He gave it to his dad who is going through a rough time. He asked me to make him another pen using dark material and chrome. This is what I came up with. A Chrome cigar dressed in solid black. I wet sanded the blank to 12000 mm and polished with Huts Plastic Polish. To be on the safe side I back paint the blank. I think he'll like it. All C & C welcome.
On a side note turning pens is so much nicer since I got my new lathe.

Plain black and plain white are 2 colors that do not get used enough. They can make for some stunning pens. This is a good example. Nice job.

Very nice! Straight black is one of the hardest colors to finish as it will show any imperfection. Looks like you nailed it perfectly!
