A Big Thank You to Sylvanite

In last year's bash I won a couple of gift certificates from Eric. This is one of the kits that I got with those gift certificates. I just wanted to thank Eric for his generousity once again and show off what a great product he produces. This is the 300 Win. Cigar kit that he makes. The upper barrel is figured walnut, similiar to what gun stocks are made from. I couldn't decide what backround looked better, so you tell me what you like best. I think the blue highlights the wood better, but then again I'm not a photographer. Your thoughts?

Yeah, for some reason the figure in the walnut show better with a blue backround. Its the same lights pointed in the same spots in both setups. The only thing differnt is the backround and the pen might be in a slightly differnt spot but it couldn't be more than 1/4" from the spot it was in on the grey paper.

Erics kits are top of the line IMO. You made a nice pen with this one. Love that finish on the walnut too. Good work Derek.

Like the pen and a great finish on the blank. The blue background did show the figure off better.
