As part of my time catching up on turning, I made a pen that someone I work with suggested. It's the over/under drapped with cocobolo for the shotgun shell and elk antler for the rifle cartridge. This rollerball pen is big and heavy, but balanced with the cap off for writing. With it on, well you better have been working out to handle this one.

I have to say, this pen looks better in person since my photos still suffer from operatius entre errorus (translated in to operator error).

I have one that looks very close to yours. It has black resin on top and deer on the bottom. I love the kit and it feels substantial but the gold seems to start to wear on the nip end. I guess it is from the female threads in the cap.
