Okay, gotta know....

Did you thread right into the Olivewood, or ??
If you did, did you need to soak the wood with thinCA(or something else) to keep the threads from getting damaged?

thx...i would classify this as a semi-kitless...the threads are an insert from an Apollo kit....before gluing in the upper tube i cut about 3/8 off...i then dry fit another tube of the same diameter to ad stability to the blank while turning...when the turn is complete i take out that dry fitted tube and i'm left with enough room for the insert to fit flush...
