Berry Blue Cactus

I won some cactus blanks from Curtis in the birthday bash raffle and this was one of them. It took me a while to decide what kit to put it on, but I finally decided on a Jr. Statesman FP with gold accents. There is no way I can capture the intensity of the blue. It is definitely "electric." I didn't paint the tubes which might have added some to the radiance.

I like it with out the tubes painted. I think it may have been too dark if you had painted the tube.

I have a few of these blanks so I know the blue ink colour of the cast. This look excellent! Nice form and fit, great kit match too.

Did you apply a finish to seal in the cactus?

Great looking pen! Blue was the color of the first cactus pen I ever showed to you guys here on the forum. I am glad you like it.

Just to clarify a little...I did not donate the blanks to the B-day bash. I tried but Jeff insisted in buying them from me. I did give him a nice discount, though! Just thought I would mention it so that I did not get undeserved credit!
