My first try at segmenting,
came out just well enough to show,
certainly not as good as some,but..here they are,
open for comments and/or critiques!
Here is a really</u> bad before shot of
the glued up blanks.(the white stuff is poly
glue foam-out.)

and after in maple,wanut,purpleheart

And the second one in maple, makore, purpleheart,
with black acrylic end pieces(not an afterthought),
lower has a little "angle" problem,my fault on the saw.

I'm getting ready to work up some more,
looking for different color schemes,and
another pattern is in the works.I also dont
care for the acrylic ends on the one, half as much
after the fact[B)].
And I'm working on the photo skills;have a new Canon
S3IS and am still steep in the curve![8]
So,with that in mind, give me some feedback
on how you see these-or-/where I can improve.
Thanks

They both look good. I have to say that I like the first one better--don't know if its because of your acrylic additions, or because I'm nuts for walnut (blatant pun fully intentional). Maybe I could judge them more fairly if you would send them to me, and I could examine them up close. You DID say you're new to the camera, and haven't yet conquered it, right? I'll be watching the mail. Good job!!
