I was talking about pens and beer caps at a conference with a friend last week. He told me the history of his family's involvement in the brewing industry and said he'd like to give his father a beer cap pen but didn't know if any caps could still be found. I located 8 on eBay and they got to my house a few hours before I returned.

Here's the first pen, a chrome Sierra Vista featuring bottle caps from Walter Brewing Company in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Their slogan was the "Beer that IS Beer". The brewery closed in 1989.

Nothing fancy about this, but thought y'all might enjoy the story.

Who says pen turners aren't artists? Well done, Jim. This post prompted me to buy some of your blanks:biggrin:
