I haven't posted anything in quite a long time but my latest couple of pens came out half decent and I wanted to share. This was also my first real success as a segmented pen. I used some Amboyna Burl and Walnut that I was given at a show. One of the maintenance workers was looking at my pens and said he had just finished a table with some walnut that he and a friend had cut themselves and he would drop off a chunk of it for me. it turned out to be a 2" thick, 30"x 27" slab of beautiful walnut. I couldn't believe it.
This was Amboyna and Purpleheart but to my disappointment the purpleheart didn't come out very purple once the CA was applied.
