BB 's scrap pile (It pays to search)

Two pen made from BB's scrape pile. Went to BB yesterday and he was cutting some Amboyna Burl so I went through his scrap pile.Right place at the right time.Bad picturesI know.

Ain't that the truth.

Most don't know it but the best figured woods can be found in the scrap pile. Usually they are too close the bark or near inclusions but the figure are amazing...sad part is those parts are mostly oddly shaped, too small, too thin, etc that it will take some real imagination to make it work.

Some of my better figured pens are actually from scraps too [:I]
